IS SHIPPING INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

Shipping is an additional cost unless it's stated otherwise.

Long distance delivery will be organised through a courier. I understand that shipping costs can be high and work with several courier companies in order to find the best possible price. I am happy to discuss options and seek out alternative solutions where possible.

If you live within a reasonable distance to where I am based, I can often deliver the item personally, at a reduced rate.

CAN YOU HAVE YOUR OWN FURNITURE REFINISHED?

I primarily focus on finding forgotten pieces of furniture and giving them a new lease of life.

This approach means I can select the best items and get full creative freedom. I also get a better return on investment in terms of time and effort.

That said, I do like to look after my customers and have refinished some pieces.

If you are looking for something specific, I'm happy to chat to see if it's something I can source and restore or refinish for you. If this is successful, we can then talk about colours, finishes, etc. that would be most suited to what you're looking for.

CARING FOR REFINISHED FURNITURE

You're buying a piece of furniture that's been lovingly restored. As these pieces are second hand, vintage or antique, they may have small imperfections, dinks, quirks or small repairs that are evident of a past life. That is part of the charm, each piece has a story that should be embraced. All pieces are structurally sound and fit for purpose..

Many items are painted by hand which may be evident in the finish. Newly painted or varnished furniture can take up to 28days to fully cure. Please consider this when using the item and handle it with care. Paint work naturally wears and distresses over time. Regardless of what the manufacturers claim, paint can and does chip. I will include a small pot of the paint used on your furniture for any touch ups.

When cleaning, dust with a soft cloth and avoid abrasive cleaning products, wipe up spillages with a damp cloth. You can polish or wax your furniture and buff to revive it.
